A cotton canvas is always a good option, but why not try something new? In this tutorial, we’re showing you how you can create a canvas out of clothing by upcycling a plain jacket (or any kind of textile fabric) into a work of art!
Outline the parts you want to paint with painter’s tape.
Shake the paint before use and add the chosen color on a tear-off palette.
Paint the parts of the textile with the colors you want. Let it dry for 30 minutes.
Draw line art on the textile using a graphite pencil.
Trace the lines with black paint to let it pop and let it dry for 30 minutes.
Lay a sheet of baking paper on top of the painted part and iron for 5 minutes to fixate. Enjoy!
